TubeX Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
TubeX is a browser extension for Chrome and Microsoft Edge made by Hossein Mahmoodi for managing his own YouTube channels. This page explains what data TubeX accesses and how it is used.
Data TubeX accesses
When you sign in with Google, TubeX requests access to your YouTube account through Google’s official APIs (scopes: youtube.readonly, yt-analytics.readonly, youtube.force-ssl). It uses this access only to:
- show your channel and video statistics and analytics;
- edit the titles, descriptions and tags of your own videos when you explicitly preview and confirm a change.
Where data is stored
- Channel and video data, settings and edit history are stored only in your browser, on your device.
- Sign-in tokens are stored in your browser; long-lived tokens are encrypted on your device.
- A small sign-in server (a Supabase Edge Function) exchanges and refreshes Google sign-in tokens. It stores nothing and logs no tokens or personal data.
Sharing
TubeX does not sell, share or transfer your data to anyone. Data is not used for advertising and is not sent to any server other than Google’s APIs and the sign-in server described above.
Google API Services
TubeX’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
You can disconnect a channel in TubeX settings, which deletes its tokens, or revoke access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of its local data.
